Driveway Fence

When we bought the bungalow there was a fence on the driveway side that was leaning bad in places and in sad shape, she did plant roses along the house though, which wasn’t bad.

Then we had to have the foundation replaced, which killed all the roses and filled the driveway with garbage—for months.

The developer next door was building a two story eyesore and wanted a new fence before he put the house on the market. We decided to go in on it, we’d cover materials, he’d pay for labor.

Turns out his “labor” didn’t include any kind of wood treatment—he’s just looking to flip the house and doesn’t care how long the fence lasts, the buyer will have to deal with that. (Of course.)

We stained and water-treated our side of the fence and are looking into different shrubs to plant along here that will grow to block his two story flipper. We’re leaning towards Podocarpus. Thoughts?
